What is JSON-LD schema markup?

JSON-LD is a block of structured data in a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag that describes a page in schema.org vocabulary: what organization runs the site, who wrote an article, which questions the page answers. Search engines and AI assistants read it to understand the page without guessing.

Where do I put the generated code?

Paste it inside the <head> of the page it describes, or anywhere in the body. Organization markup normally goes on the homepage, FAQ and Article markup on the page they describe. Many CMSs have a "custom code" or "header scripts" field for this.

Does FAQ schema still help?

Google now shows FAQ rich results only for a small set of authoritative sites, but the markup still states your questions and answers in a form machines can read reliably, which helps answer engines and AI assistants match your page to questions. The same questions and answers must also be visible on the page.

Why add sameAs links to Organization schema?

sameAs lists your official profiles (LinkedIn, X, GitHub, Wikipedia, Crunchbase). It tells search engines and AI assistants that these profiles and your website are the same entity, which helps them describe your business accurately.
